Welcome to Kate’s online classes available to purchase, keep forever and use at your own pace. Here you will find a selection of classes originally made for Skillshare but now available individually. These classes are designed to open you up to Kate’s world of painting with gouache. They are packed full of tips and advice, inspiration and technique.
Each class is divided into sections; the introduction section is free to view so you can decide if you would like to continue and purchase the whole class. Instructions on how to access your online classes can be found at the bottom of this page.

This class is perfect for the beginner and a great way to get started with gouache. Full of step by step guidance, Kate takes you through pattern exercises and paint techniques before finally showing you how to create a beautiful composition using subject matter from your garden or home. Painting flowers and foliage is something Kate has done all her working life. In this class she takes you on a botanical journey and shares her step-by-step approach to painting them. Taking inspiration from her own sketchbook art, Kate shows you how to use past artwork and reinvent it for a greeting card, bookmark and gift tag. She guides you through her way of extracting elements form your art and using them as reference points for floral gifts.

Mixing gouache painting with pastels and coloured pencils is the ultimate in fun and in this class, Kate makes it feel easy and adventurous. The semi abstract mix of flowers and leaves is a great way to show off this great combination of materials.

Creating your own colourful and textural collage papers is great fun and Kate has lots of tips on how to do this. The next step is to turn them into a beautiful and decorative artwork combining painting, cutting and sticking collage pieces for your final artwork.
How to Access your Online Classes
Once you have purchased your online class, you will be able to work through it at your own pace. Simply follow these two steps below to access your purchased class from your members area.
Step 1
First, log in to the website using the email address and the password you created when you made your purchase. To do this, click on 'Log In' in the top right corner of the header bar. The default screen that opens up will say 'Sign Up', so please ensure that you click on 'Log In' where it says 'Already a member?'.
Step 2
Once you are logged in to the website, from the homepage go up to the header bar at the top and click on your member icon - this will be a circle with a downward arrow next to it. This brings up a drop-down menu. Select 'My Programs' and this will take you to the class(es) you have bought.
