Art Club

Kate has been running the Art Club at Warsash Sailing club for the past four years. It’s a vibrant, fun and supportive gathering of locals who love to create. They meet fortnightly and every session is based around a different technique, medium, art style or subject matter.

They’ve tackled everything from Chinese brush painting to mono printing, acrylic landscapes to charcoal, Kate loves to come up with new ideas and artists to inspire and challenge everyone. However, her style is not to teach, but to instigate and support her group giving them free reign to explore their artistic ideas and dreams.

The group encompasses many different ages and abilities, everyone is very supportive of one another, considering it a safe place to indulge their creativity in a positive environment.
Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be a member of the club, and you can pay as you go so dipping in and out of the sessions is fine.

The club takes place in the main hall every other Wednesday morning from 10.30-12.30 and costs £15 per person.

Studio Sessions

Kate offers art tutorial sessions in her studio in Warsash, Hampshire.

She specialises in painting with gouache and the session she offers are usually based on this medium, tend to be no more than 3-4 people and have a hands-on step by step approach.

Typically, she runs a three-week course on the basics of gouache painting, but one-off sessions can also be offered if requested. She also offers more tailor made art sessions in watercolour, mixed media and hand printing techniques on request.
