Adventures  in Gouache:

3 x two-hour small group sessions

This session includes a Gouache workbook to take away with you.

In this course we will discover the properties of designer’s gouache, play with mark making, different brushes and pattern exercises.

Using nature as our inspiration we will find ways to paint objects in simple stylised ways; I’ll give you lots of tips and techniques todo this and we will make plenty of paint exercises to get you in the gouache zone.

Once you are confident with the brush and paint, we will look at colour schemes, subject matter and how to create a dynamic composition.

The course will culminate with you producing an artwork using all the tips and tools I have given you and your gouache adventures will have begun!
